A Walk To Ipstones & Foxt

Today we set off for another walk from the house, this time heading north towards Ipstones. It was nice and sunny as we walked through Moseymoor Wood A lake in Cloughhead Wood A beautiful Cherry Blossom tree as we reach Ipstones We realise how few big old trees there are in the Lake District
We walked through the beautifully kept village of Ipstones before heading off on the Staffordshire Moorlands Walk again
Gentle rolling countryside
We reached Foxt & had a drink in The Fox & Goose before finding this beautiful spot for lunch
Great exercise for the dogs chasing down this hill after a stick
We dropped down from Foxt to Shirley Brook
We crossed this rather than having to climb it
Before climbing up to another beck & the dismantled railway we finished on yesterday
Wild garlic is everywhere here
Crag resting on our return, enjoying his first floor vantage point over the canal & towpath
We will take the car into the Peak District for a walk tomorrow
