We’re Back!

After a few problems with the blog we are now back in business & have a few posts to catch up on this year.
Three weeks ago we went on our first camping trip of the year to Brothers Water (which is south of Ullswater).  It wasn’t a campsite we had stayed on before but the location was ideal as we could walk straight from the campsite both days.
The site was very quiet & Crag enjoyed chasing around after a tennis ball whilst we put the tent up & was quick to take shelter in it once it was up!

No time for sleeping we have two fells to climb in the afternoon.
Looking back towards the campsite, the building you can see is The Brotherswater Inn where we would take refreshment after the walk.

The first fell was up a steep grassy bank, where there was no official right of way but a small track led us most of the way to the summit

Zooming in on the campsite, you can see how quiet it was

We had thought about carrying on the ridgeline to a couple more fells but our legs told us we had not done two days of fell walking for a while so we decided just to descend back down the same route.
More posts to follow in the next few weeks……..
