Easter Egg Trails at Ennerdale

Yesterday we were back volunteering for Wild Ennerdale at their annual Easter Egg Trail. We were in charge again of handing out the maps at the start. All the Easter Eggs waiting to be handed out at the end We had the tent set up early so managed to give Crag a good run before we started & it seemed to tire him out. Cleator Moor had glorious weather all day, but we didn't at Ennerdale with torrential rain. The visibility at one point was so bad you couldn't see across the lake. It did clear towards the end to show bands of snow on the fells. Everyone seemed to enjoy the day though & the face painting was a success with all ages!
We had 208 people walk the trail (compared to 137 last year) so it was deemed a great success despite the weather.
